EDINBURGH DRUG DEALING GANG JAILED FOR 24 YEARS

Six members of a drug-dealing criminal network were today (Monday 12 April) sentenced to a combined total of almost 24 years in prison at the High Court in Edinburgh.

NORTH EAST CRIME GROUP SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS FOR DRUG OFFENCES

Three men and one woman were sentenced on 7 April 2009 at the High Court in Edinburgh to a combined 25 years in prison for serious drug offences.

The individuals were arrested last October as a result of an intelligence-led operation, codenamed  HAWK, led by the SCDEA and supported by Grampian Police and Tayside Police.

SCDEA Operation Ivory - High Court Sentencing

Marlon Browne, (22), from Liverpool, was today sentenced to 3 years and 8 months imprisonment at the High Court in Glasgow after earlier admitting to being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug cocaine.

OPERATION ACUMEN SENTENCING

Three Aberdeen men were sentenced today at the High Court in Glasgow after pleading guilty to their involvement in supplying Class A drugs as a result of an SCDEA operation codenamed ACUMEN. This three man network trafficked in excess of £100,000 worth of heroin and as part of the investigation over £20,000 of cash was also seized.

OPERATION INTREPID SENTENCING

Four persons were today sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh for being concerned in the supply of cocaine. During the operation, codenamed Operation INTREPID, officers from the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) seized more than 16 kg of cocaine with a street value of more than £800,000.

Money Laundering OPERATION FOLKLORE SENTENCING

James STEVENSON (41) from Rutherglen, Glasgow, was sentenced to 12 years and 9 months at the High Court in Glasgow today (10 April 2007) on money laundering charges after an international operation codenamed 'Folklore' conducted by the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA). Gerard CARBIN (27) from East Kilbride was also sentenced to 5 years and 6 months at the High Court.
